Air Fryer Recipes

I didn’t get an air fryer until 2 years into vanlife. It has completely changed the game for me. There are so many ways to use an air fryer, these are just a few of my favorites. This is the Air Fryer I have in the van, its small but mighty. Note: I will constantly be updating this post with recipes, photos and new ideas so stay tuned.

Salmon

Perfectly cooked every time, and all you need is 9-11 minutes. Recipe coming soon!

Sweet Potato Fries

Trader Joes sells frozen ones that come out perfectly every time in the air fryer. Just give them a shake halfway through cooking. You can also make your own by slicing up a peeled sweet potato, tossing them in a little olive oil, salt and pepper and sprinkling them with some corn starch. Pair them with some easy homemade aioli. Crispy Tofu

For all you vegetarians out there, my favorite way to eat tofu is in the air fryer. After pressing between paper towels for a few minutes toss with corn starch, spices and seasonings of your choice, toss in the air fryer for 15 minutes, mixing halfway through. I find this goes great with some stir fried veggies and a teriyaki sauce. Recipe coming soon!

All the Veggies

Pretty much any veggie can be thrown in the air fryer for the perfect side dish. In order to avoid more dishes I throw my veggies in the air fryer basket and I will add some olive oil, seasonings and spices directly on the veggies, tossing to coat. Depending on what vegetable you’re using these only take 5-10min to cook. Try broccoli, brussels sprouts, zucchini, or fajitas veggies. Recipes coming soon!

Egg in a bagel

Looking for a quick breakfast? Put some foil in the air fryer basket, spray with a little cooking spray and place a buttered bagel or english muffin down. I like to air fry the bagel for a few minutes first to get it crispy then I crack an egg in the middle of the bagel, add some spices and cheese and air fry again for another 5 minutes or until the egg is done to your liking. Top with some avocado, tomatoes or something spicy. Recipe coming soon!

Viral “Baked” Salmon

Have you seen the viral baked salmon on tiktok or instagram? If not you’re in for a treat. This is probably one of my top 3 favorite meals to make in the van. A base of rice with furikake seasoning, topped with a salmon mixture of mayo, sriracha, and green onions is air fried to get bubbly and crispy. I top mine with crispy onion crunch from Trader Joes and you eat it by putting the mixture in pieces of seaweed like little tacos. My mouth is watering just thinking of it. Recipe coming NEXT!

Egg Bites

If you’re like me, the Starbucks egg bites are a go to breakfast idea. Heres an easy at home, high protein version you’ll love. Recipe coming soon!
